About the Role

Anvil is seeking a highly motivated developer advocate to jumpstart our developer relations effort. As the leading developer platform for paperwork automation, building strong relationships with developers is essential to our customer acquisition strategy. In this role, you will work to increase awareness among the broader developer community and create a new, passionate community from the ground up focused on streamlining business transactions. You’ll partner and align with key stakeholders to ensure we meet company objectives and drive success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop SDKs, libraries, templates, and tooling to drive API adoption
  • Provide feedback and market insight on tools,usage patterns, and communities to promote simple, consistent, and idiomatic development.
  • Contribute to product requirements, provider developers’ perspectives and perspective on the market
  • Find opportunities to do joint advocacy with peers within the industry
  • Craft tutorials, documentation, and compelling blog content
  • Speak at developer conferences, meetups, and participate in adjacent events
  • Build and nurture the Anvil community and engage with the developer community on social media and other channels
  • Represent Anvil and its products at events and engage with customers, prospects and partners.

About you

  • Strong understanding of developer communities, trends and best practices
  • Background in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 5+ years of development experience
  • 3+ years of developer advocacy or evangelism
  • Highly proficient working with APIs and cloud services
  • Familiarity of the enterprise landscape
  • Mastery of at least one programming language like Java, Python, JavaScript, Rust, and PHP
  • Comfortable speaking in front of large audiences
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and shift priorities as needed
  • Willingness to work in person from our San Francisco headquarter 3 days a week
  • Self-starter mentality and able to operate without much guidance
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time

Pay: From $95,000.00 per year
